Rock - tends to have dark clothing, rock hand symbols, aggressive facial expressions, loud music, lyrics tend to be about death/hate and is anti-mainstream, suppression

Rap - has a tendency to portray drugs, violence, graffiti, crime, tattoos

Indie/ alternative – hipster look, different, earthy colours, very real, bizarre

R+B hip hop – afro Caribbean is where this genre originated from, very serious characters, suffering and hurt
